Wet existing surface to compare to pictures, except for the 5 pictures of E-Z Classic Mini Pebble. (E-Z Classic Mini Pebble Colors are dry pictures)
BEFORE USING COLORED CEMENT TYPE REPAIR KITS:
Computer monitors only show you approximate colors. Always take about a tablespoon of the dry repair material from the repair kit, mix with water & compare color to your WET existing surface BEFORE DOING THE REPAIR to be sure it matches to your liking.
If the repair material needs to be a lighter color, use our Titanium Dioxide White Cement Colorant.
If the repair material needs to be darker add some black cement dye.
Add Cement dye colorant a little at a time to the dry repair material and mix thoroughly each time. You want to compare the wet repair material samples to your existing wet surface.

Instructions & Video
Before mixing and applying the repair material make sure it is the right match!
It is sometimes hard to see exactly what the color will be from computer screens. Take a small amount of material out of the repair kit and mix with water. Wet the surface that you are trying to match and compare the wet sample to the wet surface. If the material needs to be darker, add some cement dye. If the material needs to be lighter, purchase some Titanium Dioxide Bright White Cement Colorant from our website.
1. Remove loose cement and chip area at least 3/8” deep. Make sure the edges are chipped straight down (not beveled or slanted). Clean the surface.
2. Add water sparingly to E-Z PATCH® 9 F.S. DRY CEMENT MIX and mix it into a very thick consistency enough to be used within 5 min. Use warm water for even faster set and cold water to slow set.
3. Wait a couple of minutes (until the materials start to harden), place a little more than needed in your hand or plastic bag. Install E-Z PATCH® 9 F.S. firmly on the area.
4. Slowly flatten smooth with a trowel = flush with the existing plaster & clean edges with a sponge. Expose the Pebble lightly with a sponge. Slowly back away from repair. Allow repair to set hard before swimming.
ABOVE WATER REPAIRS:
1. Follow steps 1. & 2. above, but add a little more water.
2a. CRACK REPAIRS: Saw-cut crack 3/8” wide & 3/8” deep, clean surface, rub E-Z PATCH® 9 F.S. deep into crack and remove excess and expose the Pebble with a moist sponge.
2b. CHIPS OR LARGER AREAS: Firmly trowel E-Z PATCH® 9 F.S. filling the area. Trowel flat and smooth = flush with the existing plaster. Remove excess from edges with a moist sponge. Lightly spray with a water hose, bug sprayer or use a wet sponge to expose the pebble. If there is any residue “haze” the next day, it can be removed by wetting the surface with water & pouring a mixture of 1/3 muriatic acid to 2/3 water on the patched area. Wait 1 minute and rinse using a water hose.
Allow repair to set hard before filling pool.
To make a Custom Color with any of our cement type repair supplies, use any cement dye.
