E-Z Patch® 6 Concrete Deck and Cantilever Edge Repair is just the right mixture to repair cantilever edges, cracks, chips, and pits on concrete decks. E-Z Patch® 6 is also a good product for repairs on mortar grout for Saltillo tile. This product contains special acrylic modified materials with pozzolans (siliceous volcanic ash) and polymers.
E-Z Patch #6 is Concrete Gray in color. Liquid acrylic bonder is included inside of kit.
After product application, swimming may be allowed the next day. Available in 1 lb., 3 lb., 10 lb. & 50 lb. sizes.
BEFORE USING COLORED CEMENT TYPE REPAIR KITS:
Computer monitors only show you approximate colors. Always take about a tablespoon of the dry repair material from the repair kit, mix with water & compare color to your WET existing surface BEFORE DOING THE REPAIR to be sure it matches to your liking.
If the repair material needs to be a lighter color, use our Titanium Dioxide White Cement Colorant.
If the repair material needs to be darker add some black cement dye.
Add Cement dye colorant a little at a time to the dry repair material and mix thoroughly each time. You want to compare the wet repair material samples to your existing wet surface.
3. Immediately rinse the area thoroughly and allow to dry.
4. FOR RESETTING PIECES OF EXISTING CONCRETE: Apply a small amount of E-Z PATCH® 3 (Thinset) and firmly press into place. For a flexible repair use E-Z PATCH 22 Neutral Cure Silicone Rubber but the surfaces must be very dry! Then repair edges or gaps with E-Z Patch® 6.
5. Add LIQUID CEMENT BONDER to E-Z PATCH® 6 DRY CEMENT MIX (for using just part of the kit you can use fractions EXAMPLE = 1/4 of the liquid cement bonder to 1/4 of the dry mix).Add water and mix until you get the consistency of very stiff “mashed potatoes”. Use warm water for faster set and cold water to slow set.
6a. FOR CANTILEVER EDGE REPAIR: Firmly apply one thin scratch coat of E-Z PATCH® 6. Immediately fill in the area up to 1 ½” thick. If the repair is thicker, wait until first application is stiff, and then apply more E-Z Patch® 6. Trowel flat and smooth. Remove excess from edges with a moist sponge.
6b. FOR CHIP REPAIR: Firmly apply one thin scratch coat of E-Z PATCH® 6. Immediately fill in the area fully troweling it flat and smooth. Remove excess from edges with a moist sponge.
6c. FOR CRACK REPAIRS: Rub E-Z PATCH® 6 deep into crack and remove any excess with a moist sponge.
Allow overnight set before foot traffic or swimming.
To make a Custom Color with any of our cement type repair supplies, use any cement dye.
